1980's Westminster Japan (Matsumoku) Jazz Bass (Sunburst)

1980's Westminster Japan (Matsumoku) Jazz Bass (Sunburst)Made by the famous Matsumoku factory in Japan during what seems to be the early 1980's, this is a Westminster branded jazz bass that's modelled of the 70's Fender aesthetic. Featuring block inlays and cream binding on the rosewood fingerboard (860mm scale), this one has a really tidy three tone sunburst finish and weighs a very reasonable 3. 4kg's. Recent setup and basic service and it's playing well. Frets are polished and the fretboard was oiled.

received a full professional setup prior to listing including a fret dress and a brand new saddle installation

the Middle and High Level knobs boost or cut their respective frequencies and the Level knob controls the output volume level (from -18dB to +18dB)

Lively maple top

the AY-65 has a solid spruce top with a maple back/sides

Has a small crack/repair around the output jack and is missing the original pickguard

the JDA-85Y was the artist model for You of Janne Da Arc (a Japanese band)
