OLD PULTENEY 18Y ~ HIGHLAND, SCOTLAND700ml 88 100 Distiller Released as part of a fleet of new expressions by Old Pulteney in mid 2018, this 18 year old single malt is drawn from a combination of bourbon and Spanish oak casks. Excellent stuff as ever from this Highland distillery. Nose Cinnamon spiced cookie dough, mature oak, a very light touch of charcoal. Palate Dark chocolate and green apple make for a great juxtaposition of bitterness and sweetness, while waves of vanilla and rye

It is about 380 km southeast of Adelaide

The mouth has a solid but well-coated structure

and made of an infusion of rhubarb

and blueberry fruit with a hint of cinnamon

it will appeal widely and fit almost any occasion

capsicum and lemongrass flavours supported by fruity acidity

while the well-balanced palate displays ripe plum and pomegranate and a hint of spice
