Lot 107 - Vintage Inuit Soapstone Carving of a Prone Hunter with Bone Spear, Signed J. Muckpa, Note Spear Broken, 2-1/2" HVintage Inuit soapstone carving depicting a hunter in a prone crawling position, holding a bone spear attached by a sinew line. The figure wears a hooded parka with incised crosshatch detailing on the hood. The underside is inscribed "J. Muckpa" with additional text including "Eskimo" and a copyright symbol. The spear is broken. Surface scratches and minor wear are present throughout the stone.
