Rampage (wood print | blue on mint background)To me a charging rhinoceros is one of the coolest things in nature unless youre on the receiving end of their horn. The intensity and veracity are mesmerizing. This piece was about texture and movement for me. I used what my daughter calls scribble scrabble for the texture of the Rhino. I think it gives it an appropriately frenetic feel. This piece is also about a moment in a rampage. The moment that its too late. All wood prints are printed on birch

The thing on her head or back is an eggcase

So I added a kind of antique wallpaper pattern to a sunburst of melaleuca tree bark

Seahorses are fascinating animals

I wanted to draw a detailed sugar skull and decided I wanted a sort of sun burst background but I wanted it to have a pattern texture to it

With the frame they are 16" wide and 40" tall

And will definitely be adding some more large pieces like this
