Hoagy Carmichael 221 Salmon Rod 8'9" 2/2 #8A superb Hoagy Carmichael Model 221 salmon rod, 8'9", 2 piece, 2 tip, built for a #8 line. Serial #G 89 2. Hoagy built this rod in 1983 and it is one of just two of these models that he built over the course of his career a rare sight indeed! This rod is in very good lightly used condition. It has a slight amount of hand soiling on the grip and a tiny bit of brassing on the inner snake guides. Medium full flexing action. Light oven temper wheat straw
