E. Pira & Figli (Chiara Boschis), Barolo Mosconi, 2013Sourced from the Mosconi vineyard in Monforte dAlba at 1,200 feet above sea level. The average vine age is 50 years old. After a two week fermentation, the wine is aged in lightly toasted French oak (1 3 new, 1 3 second use, 1 3 three+ uses) for 24 months before aging an additional year in bottle. Only 800 cases produced.
