Late 19th century reel owing to the lack of model number on the reel foot (instituted at the turn of the century), or serial number (instituted in 1908). This model was later dubbed the "Peerless" in 1911. German silver construction, including the foot and spool. The hard rubber side plates are in good condition with one slight crack on the backplate.
