E.C. Powell 9' 2/2 Bamboo Rod

E.C. Powell 9' 2/2 Bamboo RodFor sale here is a 9' 2 2 E. C. Powell bamboo rod made in the mid to late 1940's. A or B taper rod. It's referred to a "dry fly" rod in the included correspondence. Casts a five weight line very well. The rod weighs 4 1 4 oz. Ferrules are 15 64, tips tops 5 64. Obviously the rod has been well used but remains full length and relatively straight. Original bag and tube. Included with the sale is a letter from 1960 between the owner and Tony Maslan.

For sale here is a 3 5/8" Hardy Perfect fly reel from the pre-WWII era (made in late 1920s/1930s)

and box for the spare spool as well as line and backing

Varnish is excellent overall except for one small scuff adjacent to lettering on the butt

Serial number 777 on the foot
