Gary Howells Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #4A very nice Gary Howells fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tips, built for a #4 line. "G. H. Howells" and "8' 3 5 8 oz #4632" lettered on the shaft. The serial number denotes a 1979 manufacture date. Medium full flexing action. Near mint condition with some light soiling to the upper section of the grip and a few faint marks on the reel seat. The ferrule fits are good and one tips has a very mild right handed set, easily corrected (the other is arrow straight).

The rod features handsome medium-dark toned cane with a matte finish

Tenite slide band with cork spacer and blued butt cap

Serial number H9455 made in 1956

The Wisnton logo stickers is on the tube

The cane is an impregnated dark temper and constructed with a three-up node pattern

The rod features moderately tempered cane with chestnut wraps and bright guides

The rod is lettered "R

Guides are high slant tungsten steel

The rod is 12 feet in length
