Hardy St. George 3" Fly Reel - Three Screw LatchFor sale here is a stunning Hardy St. George 3 inch fly reel with three screw latch from the late 1920s early 1930s. All original and in excellent condition throughout. Ribbed brass foot and duplicated MKII check. The reel is very tight mechanically, no issues to disclose. No cracks. Dark brown unblemished agate line guide. Wonderful condition ebonite handle spins freely. Tension regulator works as intended. Nice strong check throughout its range.

The reel features an aluminum spitfire finish face plate

Brown silk wraps on the guides and cinnamon tipped with black at the ferrules

especially the outer surface

The mid section is 2 3/4" short but all other sections are full-length

and at some point the ferrule portion was lost leaving the tip only

It has functional machined-in holes for drying stages

Includes the original bag and tube with maker and rod information engraved in the cap
