Hardy St. George 3 3/4" Fly Reel with agate line guideFor sale here is a classic Hardy St. George reel diameter is 3 3 4". Badged for Sam Wells of Eureka, CA. Three screw latch. Transitional early ivorine handle and un engageable spare spring and pawl. Most likely from 1922 1924. Great leading on the reel. Patent 24245 noted on outer frame. Pawls and gear teeth still in superb shape. No wobble or end play to speak of. Original smooth brass foot is un filed. Tension regulator works as intended. Smoky gray

The reel foot is full length and unmodified

" die stamp on the up-locking ring
it's a show off and made to slay trout
Matching "3" stamps on each part
10 were made in RHW and the other 10 were made in LHW
It comes in a handsome leather case and overall is just a superb piece of craftsmanship
