Amish Knot Rug Hot Pad (Round)Saturday, March 21st 8am 11am This class is designed to teach the hot pad in a circle formation. This technique is also known as a tooth brush rug. Previous class is not required. In this class students will learn about the materials for making any rag rug, recycling other material and preparation. You will learn the basics of making knots, foundation and increases. All materials and tools will be provided and will be yours to take home. Materials

You will learn what continuous weaving is and why it is the perfect way to weave this basket

Day 2: We will use mattress stitch to sew it into a pouch cover and then sew it to the canvas pouch to create a fun new pouch to keep your tools in or use as a gift for someone you love

Materials Required: Dyeing apron or older clothes

you will have a cute child- or doll-size sweater and can apply the techniques learned to make yourself a sweater in your size

especially a stand if you have one

Bring a pen or pencil for note taking
