Hardy 1902 Brass Face Wide Spool Perfect Reissue Reel 3 1/4"A nice Hardy 1902 Wide Spool Brass Faced Perefect, 3 1 4" and set up for RHW. This reel was part of Hardy's 2002 limited edition set of 250 reels, of which this is #218. It has some black dacron backing on it but appears mint and unfished. Comes in a leather block case and the original box and paperwork. Made by Hardy reelmaker Ian Warren Evans the reel has an aluminum bar stock frame and spool that are black lead enameled. Hardy stated capacity of DT4 + 40m / WF5 + 55m

nor is there evidence of it ever having been moved (no marks on the ebonite around it)

This was one of two wide drum Lightweight models made in the early to late 1960s

All prints are archival quality giclee

Modified-reverse half wells grip with the slightest of taper

Lightly used with some very minor rim rash and a few light scratches on the reel foot

Comes with a red cloth bag and a grey frost coated tube with Gary's sticker and all of the rod information

In the once crowded field of classic S-handle styled reels being made

All sections are full length and have not been repaired
