Antique Danish Fire Helmet, Aarhus, Denmark Fire Department, 1955This antique fire helmet comes from the Aarhus, Denmark brandvsen, or fire department in English. It is beautiful crafted with a black metal body and incredible brass and leather embellishments. On the interior cloth is written, "Rec'd April 25, 1955," leading me to believe that this helmet was issued to its user in 1955. A paper label on the inside further identifies it as belonging to the Aarhus fire department. This helmet is in good condition, but

It sits on a beautiful Art Deco inspired base with a beautiful black and grey glaze on the ceramic

" In the middle of the badge again is the all seeing eye

Add this drinking (possible drunk) boat captain to your collection of vintage toys

This puppy is in good condition with a very nice patina and some discoloration in the brass

There is some mild color loss in the blue areas on the nose

It was made in China in 1995 and is in great condition
