Gary Howells Fly Rod 7' 2/2 #4A nice Gary Howells fly rod, 7', 2 piece, 2 tip, built for a #4 line. Weighs 2. 7 ounces. Serial #4069. The rod action is on the slower side of medium. Excellent used condition. The grip and seat have been cleaned but the rod is straight and the ferrule fits are right. The cane is a dark wheat straw oven temper done in a three up node pattern. The wraps are Gary's usual brown with yellow edges. SRMC #10 carbide stripper and chrome guides and tip tops.

The rod features lovely moderately tempered cane with green (similar to Granger green) wraps and black tipping

like new condition and appear to have never been fished

The Garrison/cigar grip measures 6 1/8" in length with moderate soiling and slight ridging

) leaving the rod good as new and void of any evidence of the repair

The rod measures 5'7" in length

Includes the original bag and fine leather tube

and spools are in great shape

The Paulo Barbetti engravings on the german silver reel seat hardware and ferrules are very nicely done

The fly line goes through the guides very smoothly
