David Bowie - DAVID BOWIE

David Bowie - DAVID BOWIEClassic Bowie album with the 'Space Oddity' track that pushed him to stardom. Later rereleased as 'Space Oddity', my version is a first release with the Vassarelly artwork gatefold sleeve. Apart from a small 'R' stamp on the reverse of the sleeve (Boots used to mark these in their 'Remaindered' section in the days when they sold records) the album and sleeve are in excellent condition. This a a very rare item and hard to come by in such good condition.

Apropos nothing at all

See my Vlog for my thoughts and views on his output

Original UK release with gatefold sleeve

The first (of many) 'Best of' album from the mighty Stones (and one of the all time greatest 'Best of' albums) - by 1967 they had already racked up a number of hits

How many of us have walked over that pedestrian crossing and stared up at Abbey Road studios

this is their second and last album

The sleeve has some laminate creasing near the edges

'Maggies Farm'

This album was fairly poorly received by critics but fortunately I don't really listen to or read them

I think Nik Kershaw is one of our best singer-songwriters

in September 1969

Double 'best of' album of one the truly great British pop rock bands led by the genius that is Ray Davies
