Description
Weatherday - Hornet Disaster (2LP Clear with Red Splatter "Blood Online" vinyl)2LP Clear with Red Splatter "Blood Online" vinyl, Limited Edition Topshelf (2025) US It clicked for me one day, that the album was going to be about hornets, explains Sputnik, the mononymous songwriter behind the noise pop project Weatherday. It just made sense to me. Hornet Disaster, Weatherdays follow up to their 2019 debut Come in, and spiritual successor to 2022s collab release Weatherglow, is their most expansive work to date. In Weatherdays
focussed and abstract
it's a melodic and beautifully articulated sonnet
and we’re loving it
Jenni Muldaur
the movie's array of songs (many chosen by Ephron herself) appealed to hearts of every vintage and tastes of every stripe
I wanted to see this through to the end
The landmark
deeper and more whole than anything in the band’s catalog to date
Always on the move
offering a poignant continuation of their musical legacy
Albeit not a farewell to the original albums themselves
In 2017 the group issued their debut LP
