Domaine des Escaravailles, Cairanne La Boutine, 2014La Boutine is a single varietal wine from the steep hillsides in Cairanne. At 150m elevation and south facing, the wine grows on stony soils in a the lieu dit "Les Bayes Hautes". The grapes from the oldest Grenache vines in Cairanne (>80 years) are manually harvested, destemmed and crushed, followed by fermentation between 28 to 35 days. The wine is aged in concrete tanks for 9 months to develop its fruit fully. Violet red colour with brilliant
