Hertwig Porcelain China "Bertha" Pet Name Shoulder Doll Head, Made in GermanyHere is a very lovely antique porcelain doll head marked with the pet name "Bertha." The doll head is nicely painted and features gold accents and blue eyes. The doll head is in good condition with no chips or breaks, other than a small chip on the inside of the base that can only be seen from the inside. Bertha could use a thorough cleaning. Dimensions: 2. 25" L x 1. 5" W x 3" H

An embossed blue label with the original owner's name is attached to the top

The back of the jacket reads "Newton

The backs of the bookends are marked "Pat Pend" (Patent Pending) and there is an artist's signature that I can't quite make out on the bottom

The can has four small holes in the bottom

though the lid portion of the lock has been removed

especially around the edges
