Charlton 8550C Fly Reel w/Spey spool RHWA superb Charlton 8550C fly reel with the super scarce Spey spool! Right hand retrieve. 4 1 2" diameter with a 1. 2" spool width and a weight of 12. 3 ounces. It is designed to hold the equivalent of DT11F and 230 yards of 30# backing. The reel is in excellent+ condition, with a few tiny scuffs on the handle, some mounting marks on the foot, and a few tiny scuffs on the frame, though so minute that they are hard to detect. It is perfect mechanically.

Fish volume has slight waves in pages due to water

The ferrules sizes are 9/64 and 14/64

3 3/4" and 4" (these two are not included with this sale)

The owner has added a non-original bag which all packs into a canvas and leather carry case (though it is in somewhat poor condition)

There are no other marks or signs on it of any sort

the male ferrules are chestnut with honey and black tipping

the rod taper is a medium derivative of my dry fly action

The rod has been fitted with slightly larger guides to accommodate modern lines
