Bill Ballan Lightweight ReelA little Bill Ballan Lightweight model trout reel, set up for LHW and 2 7 8" in diameter. LHW. Light gold color frame with black ventilated sideplates and a black foot. Silver half handle, spool, and pillars. "Bill Ballan" and "Lightweight" engraved into one sideplate. Some handling marks but near mint condition overall with minimal to any actual fishing use. Should fish a #3 or #4 nicely. Comes in a maroon faux leather pouch with Bill Ballan's name

Modified full wells grip 5 7/8" in length

The rod is wrapped brown with red edges and yellow and purple at the keeper and ferrules

Black wraps with chestnut tipping at the ferrules

The rod features lightly tempered cane with bright red wraps and bright guides

on-off button

The reel appeared in the 1977 and 1978 catalogs along with Limited Edition Orvis Classic Fly Rod with mahogany presentation chest
